Ghana’s Black Maidens will begin their campaign at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026 against Norway on Sunday, October 18, as they seek to secure a place in the knockout stage.
Head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa’s side will face Norway at Pitch 3 of the Mohammed VI Football Complex at 18:00 GMT in their opening Group C fixture.
The Ghanaian team will return to the same venue on Thursday, October 22, to take on Brazil, also at 18:00 GMT, before wrapping up their group-stage matches against Canada on Saturday, October 24.
The final group game will be played at Pitch 1 of the Mohammed VI Football Complex, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
The Black Maidens have been preparing in Morocco since early October, when they arrived in Casablanca for a two-week training camp ahead of the tournament.
As part of their preparations, Ghana played two international friendly matches to assess the squad’s readiness. They suffered a 3-0 defeat to China before recovering to beat Kenya 2-1 on October 14.
The tournament marks Ghana’s return to the U-17 Women’s World Cup after missing the previous edition. The team will be hoping to draw inspiration from its history in the competition, having won bronze in 2012 and reached the quarter-finals on three occasions.
