Eugene Boakye Antwi vows to restore discipline, accountability in NPP

New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary aspirant, Eugene Boakye Antwi, says he is contesting the position because he wants to help bring back discipline, accountability and honesty to the party.

Speaking after filing his nomination on Friday, August 28, Eugene Boakye Antwi said he is ready to work with party executives and the leadership to strengthen the NPP and help prepare the party for victory in the next general election.

He said his recent meetings and discussions with party members across the country have made him more confident that he can help bring positive changes to the NPP. He also said he wants to contribute to the presidential ambitions of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, many party members he met during his visits told him that they believe he has what it takes to bring discipline and accountability back to the party.

“Party people and executives kept reminding me when I visited them in their communities that they see me as a man who will come and instil discipline in our party, ensure accountability, and be honest with party executives and the leadership of the party,” he said.

Eugene Boakye Antwi is one of the people seeking to become the NPP’s next General Secretary. His campaign comes at a time when the party is preparing for its internal elections and working to reorganise itself ahead of the 2028 general election.
