The Western Regional Police Command has named Sule Anas as wanted in a case involving two children at Fijai Zongo Central near Sekondi.

The police say he faces charges of defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge.

Preliminary investigations show Anas worked as an Arabic tutor for weekend classes arranged by community leaders.

Officers say he allegedly invited the children into a mosque storeroom, saying he would perform a spiritual cleansing.

The police statement says, “Police investigation indicates that the suspect lured victims into a store room inside the mosque with the pretext of doing spiritual cleansing for them and ended up sodomizing and defiling the minors”.

A Gender Court in Sekondi issued an arrest warrant for Sule Anas on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The police describe him as fair-skinned and about 5.7 feet tall.

They believe he may have fled to a neighbouring country such as Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.

The Police ask the public for help locating him. Anyone with reliable information should call the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), visit the nearest police station, or phone the emergency numbers 191 or 112.
