As a result, many residents have been forced to keep their rubbish at the entrances of their homes while waiting for waste collectors to resume their services.
Residents say the situation is affecting their daily lives and are worried that it could create serious health problems.

With rubbish continuing to pile up, many households are concerned about the possible health and environmental dangers, especially during the rainy season.
The affected residents are calling on the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and other relevant authorities to quickly fix the problems at the Oti Landfill Site and restore normal waste collection services.
