DVLA records 67% increase in revenue

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced a sharp rise in its revenue following changes introduced since 2025.

The Authority says it improved its services, expanded its operations, and strengthened compliance systems, which together boosted its financial performance across the country.

The growth became especially clear in the first quarter of 2026, covering January to March.

During this period, the DVLA recorded a 67 percent increase in revenue compared to the same months in 2025.

Officials explained that the improvement did not happen by chance.

They said ongoing reforms within the institution played a key role in driving the results.

In a statement, the Authority linked the strong performance to better efficiency and wider service coverage.

It also pointed to the role of technology in making processes faster and more reliable.

“The significant increase in revenue reflects the impact of our reforms, digital transformation initiatives, and enhanced customer compliance systems,” the DVLA said.
