The Ghana Premier League returns on Saturday with two intriguing Matchday 7 fixtures as Hearts of Oak travel to face Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, while Heart of Lions host Berekum Chelsea at the Kpando Stadium.
Heart of Lions will seek an immediate response to their 3-1 defeat to league leaders Medeama SC when they welcome Berekum Chelsea to Kpando.
The hosts sit 11th on the table with eight points and will be eager to preserve their unbeaten home record after recording one victory and two draws in their three-home league matches this season.
History also favours the Kpando-based side, who have won both home league meetings with Berekum Chelsea since their return to the top flight in the 2024/25 season, with both matches ending 1-0.
Chelsea, however, arrive with renewed confidence after beating newly promoted Debibi United FC 3-0 last weekend to end a three-match winless run.
The visitors have seven points and occupy 13th position but must improve their away form, having lost all three of their road matches this season.
At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Vision FC face a difficult assignment against second-placed Hearts of Oak as they attempt to end a five-match winless run.
Vision suffered a 4-2 defeat to Bechem United last weekend, leaving them 15th with six points. Despite their struggles, they remain unbeaten at home this season, with one win and two draws.
The Tema-based side will also draw encouragement from their previous home meetings with Hearts, having recorded one victory and one draw against the Phobians.
Hearts, meanwhile, travel to Tema after securing a 1-0 victory over Port City FC to end their three-game winless run.
The Phobians have 11 points and boast one of the league’s strongest defensive records, having conceded just twice after six matchdays. They will hope their defensive discipline and renewed confidence can help them overcome Vision and maintain pressure near the top of the standings.
