Ghana’s Black Maidens have arrived in Morocco to begin their final preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Ghana U-17 women’s national team travelled to Morocco aboard Royal Air Maroc with a contingent comprising 21 players and 14 officials.
The squad will be based in Casablanca, where they are scheduled to undertake a two-week intensive training camp as part of their preparations for the global tournament.
The camp is expected to provide the technical team with an opportunity to fine-tune the players and assess their readiness ahead of the competition.
As part of the programme, the Black Maidens will play an international friendly against China today, Tuesday, October 6.
The friendly will serve as an important test for the team as they continue preparations for the World Cup, with the technical team expected to use the encounter to assess the squad’s strengths and address areas requiring improvement before the tournament.
