The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the programme and identification requirements for its upcoming national conference, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026.
In a notice issued on September 30, the party’s National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) said the conference will be held in two main parts.
The first part will focus on proposed changes to the party’s constitution, followed by the election of national officers.
The constitutional amendment session will begin at exactly 9:00 a.m., while voting for the national officers is expected to start at 12:00 p.m.
The party has asked all constituency, regional and national officers, as well as delegates, to follow the programme and arrive early to help make the process smooth and orderly.
According to the notice, voting will take place at 31 polling stations. Delegates will vote to elect national officers to nine positions.
Among the positions to be contested are the National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director, together with the other national executive positions.
The Electoral Commission (EC) will supervise the election and verify every delegate before they are allowed to vote.
The party has therefore stressed that every delegate must have their name on the official delegates’ register and present one valid identification document for verification.
The statement said accepted identification documents shall include the Ghana Card, Voter ID card and NPP party card.
Delegates have been encouraged to bring at least one of these accepted identification documents to the conference. This will help prevent delays during the verification process.
The party has also advised delegates to arrive early and give themselves enough time to complete the verification process before voting begins.
