Joao Felix has revealed that he is considering a return to European football despite being happy with life at Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.
The Portuguese forward says he wants to play in the UEFA Champions League again, although he has admitted that a move back to Europe may not happen immediately.
Felix, who made his name in European football with Benfica and Atletico Madrid, has enjoyed a new chapter in Saudi Arabia but remains motivated by the prospect of competing at the highest level in Europe.
“I’m very happy at Al Nassr, but I’m thinking about returning to Europe, although perhaps not immediately,” Felix said.
The 26-year-old did not commit to a specific timeframe for a potential return, suggesting it could happen either at the end of the current season or the following campaign.
“I don’t know whether it will be at the end of this season or the end of next season, but I want to return to Europe, play in the Champions League again,” he added.
Felix explained that the opportunity to compete against Europe’s leading clubs remains a major source of motivation for him.
“Playing in Europe gives you extra motivation, playing in the Champions League, playing against the best teams in the world,” he said.
