The GFA Elite Academy teams from Bolgatanga and Kumasi will join 10 regional U-17 Colts sides for the sixth edition of the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 3 to 10, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The Northern and Middle Belt Elite Academy teams will be represented by Bolgatanga Senior High School, popularly known as BIG BOSS, and Prempeh College in Kumasi.
They will compete alongside U-17 teams representing the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Upper East, Eastern, Central, Volta, Upper West, Northern and Western Regions.
The 12 participating teams will be drawn into groups for the seven-day competition, which is expected to provide a competitive platform for some of the country’s promising young footballers.
The championship, sponsored by the KGL Foundation, is primarily focused on talent identification and player development.
The competition will give emerging U-17 players the opportunity to gain valuable experience while putting their abilities on display before scouts and development coaches.
