France captain Kylian Mbappé has written his name into FIFA World Cup history after becoming only the fourth player ever to score 10 or more goals in a single edition of the tournament.

Mbappé’s achievement continues his extraordinary World Cup record. The French forward has been a key figure for Les Bleus since making his tournament debut in 2018, when he helped France win the trophy in Russia by scoring four goals, including one in the final against Croatia.
He then followed it with a historic eight-goal campaign at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he won the Golden Boot after scoring a hat-trick in the final against Argentina.
