Former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Chief Executive and New Patriotic Party (NPP) First Vice Chairmanship candidate, Sam Pyne, and members of his campaign team have escaped unhurt after their vehicle was involved in an accident in the Upper West Region.
The incident occurred near Hain, on the road between Jirapa and Tumu, while the team was travelling in the area.
According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp bend, causing it to skid off the road and into a wooded area.
The accident left the vehicle stranded away from the main road, but all occupants are reported to have remained safe and without injuries.
NPP regional executives later arrived at the scene and assisted the campaign team in moving the vehicle back onto the main road.
No injuries have been reported among the occupants, and there has been no indication of any fatality resulting from the incident.
Sam Pyne, a former KMA Chief Executive, is currently campaigning for the position of First Vice Chairman of the NPP as the party prepares for its internal elections.
The accident temporarily disrupted the team’s movement but did not result in any reported casualties.
