GFA announces dates and venues for 2026 Regional Congresses

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the dates and venues for the 2026 Regional Football Association (RFA) Congresses across the country.

The series of congresses will begin in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday, September 24, 2026, and end in the Western Region on Friday, November 13, 2026.

Greater Accra will be the first region to host its congress, with the event scheduled to take place at the CLOSAG Hall in Accra.

The Ashanti Region will follow on Saturday, September 26, at the Kumasi Anglican Senior High School.

The Eastern Region will hold its congress on Tuesday, September 29, at the New Juaben Municipal Coordinating Directorate Library, while the Central Region will host its event on Friday, October 2, at the Siwdu Stadium in Cape Coast.

On Thursday, October 8, the Upper West and Volta Regions will hold their congresses at the same time. The Upper West event will take place at the Upland Hotel in Wa, while the Volta Congress will be held at the Stevens Hotel in Ho.

The Brong Ahafo Region will host its congress on Friday, October 16, at the MTN Building Conference Hall in Sunyani.

The Northern Region will take its turn on Friday, October 23, at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

The Upper East Region will host its congress on Thursday, October 29, at the Regional House of Chiefs Hall.

The final congress will be held in the Western Region on Friday, November 13, at the Church of Pentecost Auditorium in Sefwi Debiso.

The regional congresses are expected to bring together football stakeholders to discuss issues concerning the administration, development and growth of the sport in their respective regions.
