Mohammed Baatima Adam, popularly known as Adam Samba, has successfully maintained his role as the Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In the regional executive elections held on Saturday, August 15, Adam Samba garnered 215 votes, surpassing Inusah Amadu, who received 122 votes.
His re-election provides him with another opportunity to oversee the party’s regional operations as the NPP aims to revitalize its structures and enhance its electoral prospects in preparation for the 2028 general elections.
Speaking in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Citi News following the election, Adam Samba expressed his gratitude to the election committee, delegates, party members, regional executives, and polling station executives for their unwavering support.
He stated that his immediate focus would be on increasing the party’s parliamentary representation in the Northern Region.
“Our duty [is] to form the majority seats in the Northern Region. Insha Allah, Almighty Allah, we shall do so,” he remarked.
Adam Samba’s triumph occurs as the NPP persists in its initiatives to reorganize its grassroots structures and strategically position the party for a more robust performance in the upcoming general elections.
