The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the fixtures for the 2026/27 Access Bank Division One League season will be released on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
The announcement comes as clubs across the country continue preparations for the new campaign following the end of the 2025/26 season and the ongoing 2026 X1 Energy Drink Division One League Super Cup in Obuasi.
The release of the fixtures will provide the 48 participating clubs with important details about their schedules, including their opening-day opponents, regional derbies and other key matches throughout the season.
The new campaign is expected to produce another competitive battle for promotion to the Ghana Premier League, as well as a tough fight for survival in Ghana’s second-tier competition.
Last season, Swedru All Blacks, Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders earned promotion to the Premier League after finishing at the top of their respective zones.
Meanwhile, Debibi United, FC AshantiGold and Port City FC are among the clubs preparing for their first season in the top flight following their promotion.
Several established clubs will also be hoping to return to the Premier League. Former top-flight sides such as Real Tamale United, Ebusua Dwarfs, New Edubiase United, Elmina Sharks and Okwahu United are expected to challenge for promotion.
The Division One League has traditionally produced closely fought promotion and relegation battles, with several clubs often remaining in contention until the final stages of the season.
The fixture release will therefore provide clubs with a clearer understanding of the challenges ahead and allow coaches and players to plan for the campaign.
The 2026/27 Access Bank Division One League is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with the GFA expected to confirm the full schedule when the fixtures are released.
