4 dating tips if you just moved to a new city

Moving to a new place during a global pandemic is already hard enough, but if you also want to date in your new city? That, my friend, kicks the difficulty of your situation up a notch. If you recently moved and wonder how to find love in your new environment, look no further. Here are four tips to help you find a hot date in your new city:

1. Go outside and explore.
Don’t let your new location intimidate you because odds are, you won’t be able to meet a potential match from home. Familiarizing yourself with nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and local businesses will not only help you become comfortable with your new location, but it will also help you meet potential love interests. However, because we’re in the middle of COVID-19, make sure that you wear a breathable mask, social distance, and bring hand sanitizer when you go out.

2. Meet your friends’ friends.
Let your friends introduce you to their friends. Maybe your roommate already has local friends or that new person you met at the supermarket can connect you with people they know. Even though you may not know them, don’t be afraid to mingle with the people your friends are close to. Because you don’t have to search alone, meeting your friends’ friends is one of the easiest ways to spark up a romantic connection.

3. Use online dating apps and technology.
Right now, dating apps like Tinder and Bumble are some of the safest ways to date without jeopardizing your health. These apps allow you to look for love matches virtually and get to know potential matches on your own terms. If you find someone who interests you on a dating app, in-app features, like video chatting, can take your conversations to the next level.

While technology can’t do everything in a relationship, it can help you maintain sex without seeing someone in person. Getting ready for some sexy times online is as easy as researching ed medications like Viagra or consulting a trusted professional about vaginal dryness if you face these types of problems.

4. Keep an open mind.
You really never know how you’ll meet your next potential love interest. It could be at a drive-thru, at the grocery store, or through a mutual friend, so keep an open mind. When you stay open, you’ll be ready for love no matter where you may find it. Also, remember that you may encounter people who are different from the types of people who lived in your old area. Take a chance, and get to know them, especially if you want to find love. Finding love in a new city can be challenging, but it’s possible. If you don’t immediately find someone who interests you, though, that’s OK. Realize that being single isn’t a bad thing, and keep following the advice you’ve learned. When the time is right, you will find love.
