Raphinha denies reports about Barcelona future doubts

Raphael Dias Belloli (Raphinha) has opened up about the criticism he has faced since joining Barcelona in the 2022/23 season, claiming that sections of the media have constantly pushed stories about him leaving the club.

Speaking in a recent interview, the Brazilian winger said he feels unwanted by some people around the club, especially parts of the press.

According to him, rumours about his future at Barcelona started almost immediately after he arrived from Leeds United in 2022.

Raphinha explained that many reports have repeatedly claimed he was unhappy at Barcelona or preparing to leave, despite him never publicly expressing such feelings.

The winger appeared frustrated by the constant speculation and directly criticised one journalist whom he accused of spreading false information.

The Barcelona star strongly denied reports claiming he had recently met club officials to discuss doubts about his future.

He insisted that the story was completely untrue and accused the journalist of regularly publishing inaccurate reports about him.

According to Raphinha, the same journalist often deletes stories after they are published because the information turns out to be false.

He also described many of the claims as “trivial things” that should never have been reported in the first place.

Despite the ongoing rumours, Raphinha has remained an important player for Barcelona since joining the Culers in the 2022/23 season.

The Brazilian international has contributed 71 goals to the club, assisted on many occasions, and has shown strong performances during difficult moments for the club.
