Black Stars midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has praised his Ghana national football team teammate Thomas Partey, describing him as an “amazing” player.

Kyereh and Partey previously played together for Ghana at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where the team exited at the group stage in both competitions.

After returning from a long-term injury, the SC Freiburg midfielder spoke in an interview about his national team experience and career.

The 30-year-old had high praise for Partey when asked about him.

“It’s a pleasure to play with him (Thomas Partey),” he said.

“I always saw him as a really good player on television before I met him in the national team but when I was training with him, I saw his quality from another angle, and he’s so good.

“What a player?! What an amazing player!”

Kyereh is currently regaining match fitness with Freiburg’s U23 side as he works his way back to first-team action.
