Karim Benzema has shared his honest thoughts on the differences between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, praising the teamwork and unity at the French club.
Speaking in a recent interview, the former Real Madrid striker highlighted what he believes makes PSG strong this season. According to Benzema, the team’s structure and understanding between players have been key factors in their performances.
“At PSG, what’s great is, you put out a starting team, it plays, it runs,” he said. “Then the coach makes a change and the guys who come in, they bring you more than those who started the match.”
Benzema explained that every player at PSG understands their role, whether they start the game or come off the bench. He believes this clarity has created a strong team spirit.
“Everyone knows what they have to do, they know what they have to bring,” he added. “The starter, he knows what he has to do, the substitute, he knows what he has to do.”
The French forward also compared this to his former club Real Madrid, where he suggested things are not always as smooth. “At Madrid, it’s complicated because they don’t play as a team,” Benzema said, pointing to a more individual style of play.
He also praised PSG manager Luis Enrique for building a united squad. “The top guy at PSG is Luis Enrique, but it’s a real Paris team,” Benzema noted.
Benzema further stressed that PSG’s strength lies in their collective effort rather than individual stars. “They press, they attack, they defend together,” he said. “You put whoever you want up front, they all run on the same fuel together.”
Despite mentioning Ousmane Dembélé as a standout name, Benzema made it clear that PSG’s success is not built around one player. Instead, it is the teamwork and discipline that make the difference.
