Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo has expressed confidence that the Black Stars will secure victory against Croatia in their final Group L match at the FIFA World Cup after earning a goalless draw against England.
The 26-year-old midfielder was one of Ghana’s standout performers as the Black Stars held England to a 0-0 draw at Gillette Stadium. The result leaves both teams on four points after two matches, with qualification to the next stage still wide open.
Speaking after the game, Sibo said the team remains focused on finishing at the top of the group and is fully determined to claim all three points against Croatia.
“We want to be leaders in the group and we are not looking back,” he said. “Against Croatia, I don’t think, I believe that we’re going to take all three points.”
Sibo also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent Ghana on football’s biggest stage, describing it as a blessing to wear the national colours.
“I’m always grateful and thankful to God for the opportunity to play. Whenever I get the chance, I will give everything I can. It’s a big blessing for sure,” he stated.

The midfielder revealed that the team’s disciplined display against England was the result of strict adherence to the tactical instructions of head coach Carlos Queiroz.
According to him, the Portuguese tactician urged the players to remain compact, support one another, and stay mentally strong throughout the match despite facing one of the tournament’s strongest sides.
“He told us to be compact. He told us to fight for each other and keep our mentality tough because we were playing against a great team,” Sibo explained. “We listened to him, followed his instructions and did the job.”
Ghana spent much of the match defending against England’s attacks but remained organised and difficult to break down. The Black Stars also created a few promising opportunities and came close to snatching all three points.
