Como head coach Cesc Fabregas has described Barcelona as a “scary team” after watching their impressive start to the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League campaign.
The former Barcelona midfielder was full of praise for Hansi Flick’s side following their emphatic 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in their opening league-phase fixture on Wednesday.
Fabregas said Barcelona’s ability to find solutions in difficult situations makes them particularly difficult for opponents to handle.
“I watched Barça yesterday, and they make you look like a fool,” Fabregas said.
“They find solutions where there aren’t any. They can find solutions to anything. They’re a scary team, really.”
Barcelona produced an attacking masterclass against Feyenoord, scoring five goals to make a strong statement at the start of their European campaign.
Raphinha scored twice, while Lamine Yamal, Pedri and other attacking players contributed to a dominant display.
The result continued Barcelona’s strong early-season form under Flick. The Catalan giants had also recorded a convincing 5-0 victory over Valencia in La Liga before their Champions League opener, further highlighting their attacking strength.
Fabregas, who came through Barcelona’s youth system and later returned to the club as a first-team player, knows the club well.
He spent three seasons at the Camp Nou between 2011 and 2014, winning several major trophies during his time there.
The Como manager will have a personal reason to keep an eye on Barcelona this season. Como are also competing in the Champions League and will face Barcelona later in the league phase, with the fixture scheduled for January 2027.
