Ebusua Dwarfs have secured a place in the final of the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup after beating Nsuopon Fidelity 3-2 on penalties at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The semi-final produced a tense encounter as neither side could find the breakthrough during the 90 minutes. Despite creating several opportunities, both teams struggled to convert their chances into goals.
Ebusua Dwarfs had the better of the first half and controlled much of the play, but their dominance did not result in a goal. Their failure to make their chances count allowed Nsuopon Fidelity to remain in the contest.
Nsuopon Fidelity returned from the break with greater purpose and improved their performance. They created opportunities of their own as they looked to take control of the match.
However, the two teams remained wasteful in front of goal, and the deadlock continued until the final whistle. With no extra time able to separate the sides, the semi-final was decided through a penalty shootout.
The shootout proved decisive, with Nsuopon Fidelity missing three of their five attempts. They converted only two penalties.
Ebusua Dwarfs were more effective from the spot, scoring three of their five kicks while missing two. Their 3-2 victory sent them through to the final and kept their hopes of winning the Super Cup alive.
Ebusua Dwarfs will now face Semper Fi in the final on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
