Titus-Glover campaign convoy vehicle involved in road accident

A vehicle in the campaign convoy of New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser hopeful Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover has been involved in a road accident on the Dambai-Tamale road.

The incident happened as the campaign team travelled through the Northern Region as part of Titus-Glover’s nationwide tour to meet and engage party delegates ahead of the NPP’s National Organiser election.

Reports indicate that the affected vehicle sustained significant damage in the accident. However, details about the number of people who were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident remain unclear.

There is also no official confirmation yet on whether any of the occupants suffered injuries.

The cause of the accident has not been established, as authorities are expected to gather more information to determine what led to the incident.

Sources close to the campaign said emergency responders and security personnel arrived at the scene shortly after the accident to assist those involved and ensure the area was safe.

The campaign convoy reportedly stopped for some time while the situation was brought under control before continuing its journey.

Titus-Glover was not in the vehicle involved in the accident and is reported to be safe.

The campaign team had not released a detailed statement on the incident at the time of reporting. It is also unclear whether the accident will affect the former lawmaker’s planned campaign activities in the region.

Titus-Glover, who is the Greater Accra Regional Minister, is currently seeking the support of NPP delegates in his bid to become the party’s next National Organiser.

He previously served as the Member of Parliament for Tema East and also held the position of Deputy Minister for Transport. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of the Volta Aluminium Company (VALCO).
