Synonymous with her birthday, Rashida Saani has once again used her special day to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
This year, Rashida Saani extended financial support to fifteen young entrepreneurs, five needy children/child health-care centred institutions and five needy single parents as part of her annual birthday celebration.
Her annual birthday support initiative, which has steadily grown over the years, has become a symbol of compassion, empowerment, and social responsibility.
Announcing the initiative on social media on her birthday in April 2026, she invited the public to nominate deserving individuals and organisations in need of support.
“Another year of no birthday party in a bid to support ten young entrepreneurs in motion deserving of support, five needy children/child health-care centred institutions in need, & five single fathers/mothers in need,” she said.
To ensure fairness and transparency, Rashida Saani explained that all nominations had to be made publicly and would be reviewed openly by a dedicated team based on merit.
Following the review process, the dedicated team selected the beneficiaries based strictly on merit. However, Rashida added an additional five needy old entrepreneurs, including those with various disabilities, to make fifteen.
The beneficiaries included emerging entrepreneurs striving to grow their businesses, struggling single parents seeking relief and stability, as well as institutions committed to caring for vulnerable children and supporting child healthcare.
The beneficiaries received financial support designed to help strengthen their businesses for a wider social impact, improve their living conditions, and restore confidence during difficult times.
This year’s beneficiaries included young entrepreneurs in shea-butter processing, fruit juice making, retail, hospitality, etc.
Many past and current beneficiaries have since shared emotional messages of gratitude, describing Rashida Saani’s annual charity gesture and generosity as timely, thoughtful, and deeply impactful.
“Dear Rashida Saani, thank you so much for nominating me as part of your phenomenal entrepreneurs for your birthday celebration. I truly appreciate the recognition and feel honoured to be a beneficiary,” Maria Pencil, a graduate turned pencil artist, writes.
As part of the Boya Initiative, launched in 2013 by Rashida Saani to empower women and support underprivileged children, each year has reflected an even bigger growth, reaching more beneficiaries and a broader demographic.
In 2025 alone, Rashida Saani supported ten small businesses and organisations led by young entrepreneurs and six single parents in need.
Some of the beneficiaries include Fruit Fusion – a fruit processing business, Muftyy Afrocentric – a clothing brand, Hally’s Delight – a yoghurt production business, Tokenxbox-a tech startup, Givit Ghana – a youth-powered charity initiative focused on supporting underprivileged individuals in Ghana, Hereafter Ghana – a charity organisation providing healthcare support and relief services to needy communities, Hajia Phaizer Majestic – a ‘Henna’ spa and many others.
This is an awesome initiative
