The exact cause of the accident is yet to be officially established, although preliminary reports suggest the driver may have lost control of the vehicle.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, the police, and other emergency response agencies were quickly dispatched to the scene to secure the area and prevent any potential fire outbreak.

Given the highly flammable nature of LPG, authorities established a safety perimeter around the accident site and restricted access to ensure the safety of motorists and nearby residents.

Firefighters were placed on standby while technical teams assessed the condition of the tanker and monitored for any signs of gas leakage.

Officials urged motorists to exercise caution and cooperate with traffic management personnel as efforts were made to clear the tanker from the road and restore normal traffic flow.
