I’ll never discuss NPP strategies with my twin brother — Abanga

Newly elected NPP National Youth Organiser Abanga Fusaini Yakubu has ruled out any possibility of sharing the party’s strategies with his twin brother, Hassan Abanga, who is an NDC Vice Chairman.

Mr Abanga said his political loyalty to the NPP remains firm despite the political differences within his family.

His mother is a supporter of the NPP, while his father and twin brother are aligned with the NDC.

Mr Abanga said the family has agreed to respect each other’s political choices and avoid political discussions during family gatherings to prevent disagreements.

He dismissed suggestions that his close relationship with his twin brother could influence his political allegiance or lead him to disclose confidential NPP strategies to the NDC.

“This is not possible. If somebody should come and tell you I will expose my political strategies and ideas to the NDC, it doesn’t make sense. I love the NPP, so whoever knows me can testify to my loyalty to the New Patriotic Party,” he said.

Mr Abanga said his commitment to the NPP dates back to 2014, stressing that he has served the party consistently over the years.

“I’ve spent the whole of 2014 to date serving the New Patriotic Party, wholeheartedly,” he stated.

Asked whether his relationship with his twin brother could ever persuade him to join the NDC, Mr Abanga gave a categorical response.

“Excuse my words, not God, if you want me to use that word. Nobody. It’s NPP and NPP. And that is the NPP that I believe in,” he said.

The newly elected Youth Organiser also expressed confidence in the NPP’s strength and said he was determined to contribute to the growth of the party in his new role.
