The Minister for Roads and Highways, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has issued a stern ultimatum to contractors working on government-funded road projects across the country, warning that firms that fail to deliver on their contractual obligations risk having their contracts terminated.
The Minister made it clear that government will no longer tolerate delays, abandoned sites, or substandard work, stressing that all contractors must meet agreed timelines or face decisive action.
“Contractors who fail to perform will not be allowed to continue holding on to projects. You either deliver, or you lose the contract,” the Minister stated.
The warning comes amid growing concerns over stalled and poorly executed road projects in various parts of the country, many of which have caused inconvenience to commuters and slowed economic activity.
