The Agona Swedru District Police Command has arrested six men for allegedly impersonating security operatives and assaulting foreign nationals at a manufacturing company in the Central Region.
According to police, the suspects were arrested on May 6, 2026, after officers received a distress call reporting that a group of men dressed in military and immigration uniforms had stormed the premises of S.I Jun Manufacturing Company Limited at Agona Akwakwa near Mankrong Nkwanta.
Police said the suspects arrived in a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GW 8887-V and claimed to be National Security operatives.
Three of the men were reportedly dressed in Ghana Immigration Service camouflage uniforms, one wore military attire, while the remaining two were in plain clothes.
The group is alleged to have assaulted and harassed several Chinese nationals working at the company.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers reportedly found three Chinese nationals, identified as Man Guan, Chin Min, and Ma Kaixiang, handcuffed on the premises.
The suspects were immediately arrested and identified as Agyemang Benjamin, Mahama Iddrisu Dawuda Seidu, Ofori Isaac, Adom Bills, Hayford Boafo, and Ato Mchenry, 48.
All six suspects are currently in police custody at the Agona Swedru District Police Headquarters, assisting with investigations.
Authorities say the Military Police, Ghana Immigration Service, and National Security have been contacted to verify the identities of the suspects and determine whether they have any official links to the security agencies.
