2026 Africa Internet Forum to take place in Ghana

Ghana will host the 15th Africa Internet Governance Forum in Accra from November 2 to 5, 2026.

The event will gather policymakers, tech leaders, innovators, and development partners from across Africa and other regions to discuss the continent’s digital future.

The forum will run under the theme “Advancing Africa’s Digital Future Through Innovation, Inclusion, and Trust”.

Key discussions will focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital inclusion, data governance, and digital identity.

Organisers expect the forum to influence policy direction and strengthen cooperation among African countries on digital development.

The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has launched a 35-member Local Organising Committee to prepare for the event.

The committee will coordinate planning and ensure successful delivery of the forum.

At the inauguration, the minister said Ghana is fully prepared to host the continental meeting.

He also said the country aims to strengthen its role in Africa’s ongoing digital transformation.

The Africa Internet Governance Forum brings together governments, private sector actors, civil society groups, and technology experts.

They meet to discuss internet governance and digital policy issues affecting Africa.
