Two young men have survived a near-fatal accident at Bonakye in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.
The two, who were riding a motorbike, reportedly fell beneath a cement-loaded truck after the motorcycle lost balance along the Eastern Corridor.
The truck, with registration number GN 5404-26, was travelling in the opposite direction when the crash occurred.
Both victims sustained serious head and body injuries and were rescued by eyewitnesses and residents before being rushed to the Bonakye CHPS Compound for treatment.
Authorities have since visited the scene to facilitate traffic flow as investigations into the accident continue.
