Media personality George Quaye has opined that event organisers should not be held accountable for the attire celebrities choose on red carpets.
In an interview on Tuesday, May 12, George Quaye contended that any criticism regarding the outfits worn at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) should be aimed at the individuals and their stylists, rather than the event organisers.
He further supported the organisers, asserting that they cannot be blamed for attendees’ personal fashion choices.
“How are you now blaming Edem for what George Quaye decided to wear? Somebody said Dr. Likey dressed like he was going to the washing bay. How’s that Charterhouse’s problem?” he defended.
George pointed out that if individuals are dissatisfied with the outfits showcased on the red carpet, the responsibility should lie with the celebrities and designers involved.
“If you are uncomfortable with what people wore to the event, fight the people. Sometimes we also ought to learn to know where to put the blame,” he added.
He also urged Ghanaian fashion designers to seize the opportunity presented by high-profile events like the TGMA to promote their brands by dressing celebrities for visibility.
