Joint 77 finally reveals why Militants fell out with Shatta Wale

Former SM Militant Joint 77 has opened up about the events that led to the collapse of the Militants’ relationship with Shatta Wale, claiming the group eventually decided to operate without him after years of feeling excluded from his projects.

According to Joint 77, Shatta Wale rarely involved the Militants in his major projects, did not travel with them for international performances and, on several occasions, performed their collaborative songs alone.

He said the situation became frustrating for the group because, despite being associated with Shatta Wale as the SM Militants, they were often left out whenever opportunities came up.

Joint 77 cited Shatta Wale’s trip to work on a music project involving Beyoncé as one of the incidents that left a lasting impression on him.

He recalled that he was eating with Shatta Wale on the day the dancehall star travelled, yet had no idea he was leaving the country or that he was going to shoot a video involving Beyoncé.

According to Joint 77, none of the Militants knew about the trip.

He said the situation was not an isolated incident, claiming Shatta Wale consistently chose to travel alone and would perform songs belonging to the group without taking the members along.

Rather than continue waiting to be included, Joint 77 said the Militants eventually began accepting performance opportunities on their own.

He explained that the members started performing their collaborative songs at international shows without informing Shatta Wale, just as they felt he had been doing with them.

Joint 77 said Shatta Wale eventually heard about the international performances and became upset that the Militants were performing their songs without his knowledge.

The move reportedly angered Shatta Wale and contributed significantly to the decision to disband the group and became a major point of their eventual fallout.

He insisted that the Militants’ actions were not driven by bitterness but by frustration over what they considered a lack of support and inclusion from their leader.
