The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled power outages in parts of Accra from Monday, October 12, to Wednesday, October 14, 2026, to allow maintenance work to be carried out.
According to ECG, the outages will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day and affect several communities in the Accra West Region.
In notices issued on Sunday, October 11, the company explained that the planned maintenance is aimed at improving electricity service delivery.
On Monday, October 12, the outage will affect Mile 7 Estates, Caledonia Hotel, Great Gardens, Fountain Gate Church, ECO Block, Franco Estate, Pokuase BSP, Koans Estate and nearby communities.
On Tuesday, October 13, Ameriya Last Stop and its surrounding areas will experience a power interruption.
On Wednesday, October 14, the affected areas will include Tabora Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, Bankyease, Race Course, Alhaji, Kwashiebu, Gbawe Bulemin, Gonse, Joma, Agbozome, CP and nearby communities.
ECG has apologised to customers in the affected areas for the inconvenience and urged them to take note of the scheduled outages and make the necessary arrangements.
Residents and businesses in the affected communities are advised to plan ahead for the temporary interruption in electricity supply.
