A two-year-old girl has died after she was trapped inside a house during a fire at Cantonments in Accra.
The fire happened on Sunday, September 20, at a residence near Susanna Lodge. The young girl was inside the house when the fire broke out.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the child could not escape the fire and was found dead at the scene.
The Assistant Divisional Officer of the GNFS, Alex King Nartey, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post.
The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
Meanwhile, the child’s remains have been handed over to the Cantonments Police for the necessary procedures.
