Mohammed Kudus has returned to the Black Stars squad as Ghana prepares for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder leads a group of players making their return to the national team for the upcoming international assignments.
Kudus missed Ghana’s World Cup campaign after suffering an injury that kept him out of action for seven months. His recovery now allows him to return to the Black Stars setup as coach Carlos Queiroz begins a new chapter with the team.
The midfielder’s return will provide Ghana with another attacking option as the team prepares for two important AFCON qualifying matches.
Nathaniel Adjei is also back in the squad after almost a year away from the national team. The France-based defender has impressed with his performances for Ligue 1 side Lorient, earning him another opportunity to represent Ghana.
Brighton and Hove Albion forward Ibrahim Osman has also been recalled. The young attacker is expected to add pace and creativity to the Black Stars’ attacking options.
Sassuolo midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana completes the list of notable returnees. His inclusion gives Queiroz another option in midfield as Ghana prepares for a busy international period.
The return of the players comes as the Black Stars seek to make a strong start to their 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign.
