Senior Nursing Officer remanded for 2 weeks in connection with ‘Ghana Jollof’

Salomey Awiti Baffoe, a 40-year-old Senior Nursing Officer, has been remanded into custody by the Adenta Circuit Court 1 for two weeks following her arrest over her alleged connection to the controversial TikTok account, Ghana Jollof.

Her arrest is part of an investigation targeting individuals associated with the account, which has garnered notoriety for its severe criticism of government officials.

Her legal representative, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, nevertheless contested the justification for her prolonged incarceration, given that state authorities had communicated to the court that the individual operating the Ghana Jollof account is presently based in the United Kingdom.
