The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested three suspects who are allegedly linked to the activities of Dutch fugitive Jos Leijdekkers, popularly known as “Bolle Jos”, in Ghana.
According to NACOC, the suspects were arrested following the reported seizure of a cocaine shipment by French customs. The shipment is believed to be connected to a wider international drug trafficking network.
In a statement issued on Monday, September 14, 2026, NACOC said the three suspects are currently in its custody as investigations continue into their alleged roles in the trafficking operation.
The Commission said the arrests form part of efforts to disrupt networks involved in the movement and distribution of illegal drugs in Ghana and beyond.
NACOC also reaffirmed its commitment to preventing Ghana from becoming a haven, transit point or operational base for international drug trafficking organisations.
The Commission said it would continue to work with both domestic and international law enforcement agencies to identify and disrupt the people, finances and infrastructure supporting the illegal drug trade.
It added that the investigation would be conducted while ensuring that the rights and legal protections of all persons under investigation are respected.
Jos Leijdekkers, widely known as “Bolle Jos”, is a Dutch national who has been associated with international drug trafficking and has been the subject of law-enforcement attention.
