A 50-year-old car dealer has been shot dead in a late-night attack outside his residence at Beach Drive Estate near Tuba in the Ga South Municipality.
The deceased, identified as Kwesi Rahman, was reportedly attacked shortly after returning home with his wife from an evening walk on Thursday, August 6.
According to reports, the couple arrived at their residence at about 9:30 p.m. when an unidentified gunman allegedly emerged and opened fire on them at the entrance to their home.
Rahman reportedly sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the attack and died at the scene before he could receive medical attention.
His wife was also hit by several bullets and is said to be in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital, where she is receiving treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, as police have yet to establish what may have led to the attack.
The identity of the suspected gunman is also unknown, with investigators working to gather information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.
The incident has reportedly caused fear and concern among residents of Beach Drive Estate and surrounding communities.
