Trevoh Chalobah linked with Chelsea exit as Como submit official bid

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah could leave the club this summer after Italian side Como reportedly submitted an official bid for the England international.

According to transfer reports, Como has made Chalobah their top target in central defence as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

The 26-year-old is understood to be open to a move to Italy, where he could play Champions League football if the project at his potential new club continues to grow.

Italian giants Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring the situation, keeping an eye on the defender as they consider defensive reinforcements ahead of the next campaign.

Chalobah, a product of Chelsea’s academy, has had an inconsistent run in the first team due to injuries and competition for places.

Despite this, he remains highly rated for his versatility, defensive awareness, and ability to play both as a centre-back and defensive midfielder.

Reports suggest Chelsea is not actively pushing to sell the player, but they are open to offers as they continue to reshape their squad under their long-term project.

The defender is currently focused on international duties and preparations for the FIFA World Cup, but his future at club level is expected to be decided in the coming weeks.

In contrast, Chelsea is not considering offers for right-back Malo Gusto. The French defender is valued highly by the club, with reports placing his price tag at around £75 million.

The Blues see him as an important part of their future defensive setup and are not engaged in any talks regarding a possible departure.

Meanwhile, young Italian wing-back Marco Palestra is reportedly close to completing a move, with an agreement said to be in place for a six-year contract.

The deal is expected to be finalised soon, adding another promising talent to Chelsea’s long-term recruitment strategy.
