Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has responded strongly to the leaked video of Mikel Arteta confidently declaring that Arsenal will become “European champions” ahead of the UEFA Champions League final.
Speaking before the highly anticipated clash between Arsenal and PSG in Budapest, Luis Enrique said he was not bothered by Arteta’s comments but insisted that only the final result would matter.
“I don’t think there’s a greater motivation than winning the Champions League itself, but we’ll see in the end who wins, because that’s what matters most,” the PSG coach said.
The controversy started after a private video of Arteta celebrating Arsenal’s Premier League triumph leaked online.
In the clip, the Arsenal manager reportedly told supporters and players that the club would become “Champions of Europe” on Saturday.
The video quickly spread across social media and sparked debate among football fans and pundits.

Reports in England claim some people within Arsenal were unhappy about the leak, fearing it could motivate PSG even more before the final.

The Champions League final has been described as one of the biggest matches in Arsenal’s modern history. The English club are chasing their first-ever Champions League title after ending a 22-year wait for the Premier League trophy under Arteta.
PSG, meanwhile, are hoping to defend the European crown it won last season under Luis Enrique. The French giants have impressed throughout the competition with their attacking football and tactical discipline.
Enrique also has an excellent record in cup finals, having won 11 of the 12 major finals he has managed during his coaching career.
