A young man, widely known as Sheihu and believed to be in his early twenties, has reportedly passed away in Salaga, located in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region, after allegedly inflicting a stab wound on himself while attempting to showcase what he claimed were spiritual powers.
The event is said to have taken place on Wednesday, June 24, during a program organised by local youth as part of the annual Fire Festival celebrations.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the deceased allegedly used a knife on himself in front of an audience in a seemingly misguided effort to demonstrate his supernatural abilities.
He reportedly suffered severe injuries during this act and was promptly transported to the Salaga Government Hospital for medical attention.
Unfortunately, he was later declared dead, leaving the community in a state of shock and mourning.
