The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the timetable for its national elections, which are set to take place on October 3, 2026.
During a press conference to announce the schedule, the Chairman of the election committee, Hon. Opare Ansah, stated that nominations will be accepted at the party’s headquarters for all individuals interested in contesting for national positions from August 17 to August 22.
From August 23 to August 27, interested members will have the chance to submit their nominations.
The vetting process for candidates vying for various positions will occur from August 31 to September 3, 2026.
The vetting committee is anticipated to publish their report on September 5, 2026. Nevertheless, individuals who may feel dissatisfied with the decisions made by the vetting committee will have the opportunity to appeal from September 6 to 7.
On September 10, the National Executive Council and National Executive Committee will convene to address issues arising from the processes prior to the major conference scheduled for October 3, 2026.
