GCB Bank has dismissed reports of a robbery or attempted robbery at its Labone branch in Accra, assuring customers that the facility remains safe and fully operational.
In a public notice issued on Thursday, August 13, 2026, the bank said no robbery occurred at the branch or anywhere on its premises.
“GCB Bank wishes to clarify that no robbery or attempted robbery took place at our Labone Branch or on the Bank’s premises,” the statement said.
The bank said the branch was not breached and that no customer, staff member, funds or bank property was affected.
GCB Bank urged customers to continue their banking activities without fear, adding that it maintains strong security measures across its branches.
“We wish to reassure all our customers and stakeholders that GCB Bank remains safe, secure, and fully committed to serving them,” the statement concluded.
