Jordan Ayew ‘has shown his worth’ – Roy Hodgson

Crystal Palace boss, Roy Hodgson, has described the signing of Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew as the club’s best signing of the season.
Hodgson was full of praise for the Ghanaian striker whose goal against Watford over the weekend gave the team the maximum three points in the English Premier League.

“You would have to show me the other summer signings, what they have done, how much they cost.

“We signed him in the summer, but we paid money to loan him last season, and he has shown his worth all the way through.

“I think he has got stronger, and we saw signs last season when he wasn’t succeeding as much in terms of goals and assists, but I am delighted for him,” Hodgson said when asked by the press if Ayew was the club’s signing of the season.

Ayew’s eighth goal of the season recorded at the Selhurst Park moves Palace up to 11th on the Premier League table, leaving the club one point away from securing a Premier League appearance next season.

Ayew took to social media to express his joy on Palace’s third straight win, the first time they are achieving that this season.

Jordan Ayew has 24 goals in his Premier League appearances, equalling his compatriots and  a former Ghanaian forward Anthony Yeboah’s record in the Premier League.
