‘I’ll be ok’ – Eze eases injury concerns

Eberechi Eze has eased any injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final after the Arsenal midfielder was replaced midway through the second half against Bayer Leverkusen.

The midfielder had fallen to the ground with a knock prior to his substitution, with Kai Havertz replacing him.

However, Eze told TNT Sports after full-time: “I’m alright, I’ll be ok.”

Eze had opened the scoring against Leverkusen with a thunderbolt strike – his first goal in the Champions League.

“It was a special goal,” he added. “I will remember it for a long time – I hope it is the first of many in the Champions League.”
