Nigerian pastor Prophet Apata Joseph Enoch has advised people to consider physical attraction when choosing a life partner.
In a Facebook post, the clergyman, who said he is 54 years old while his sweetheart is 50, cautioned people against entering marriage with someone they are not attracted to simply because of concerns about growing older.
“I’m 54, my sweetheart 50. Don’t marry an ugly person because of old age. Open your heart and eyes,” he wrote.
Prophet Apata also shared a personal experience, explaining that he once considered marrying another woman but claimed he received spiritual guidance that she would not remain someone he would be attracted to later in life.
“The woman I wanted to marry before, God told me I wouldn’t like her in her old age,” he stated.
According to him, time has changed the way he views that decision, adding that he believes he was guided away from a choice he would have regretted.
“Today, she looks like someone I can’t take pictures with. I bless God,” he wrote.
The pastor added that he believes God understands his desire for a beautiful partner, saying: “I hear from this merciful God who knows I like a fine and beautiful wife.”
