I don’t pay tithe to Church; I give to the street – Zubby Michael

Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has disclosed that he no longer contributes a tithe to the church; rather, he opts to give directly to individuals on the streets.

In an interview, the actor stated that his choice is rooted in personal conviction and reflects how he prefers to assist those in need.

He mentioned that he recently donated a significant amount of money to the underprivileged, referring to it as his interpretation of tithing.

“Not to brag, but I am the richest actor. I realised I made about N102 million from acting recently. I gave out N10.2 million, which is 10 per cent, to the needy on the street. I don’t go to church. I don’t believe in paying tithe to the church,” he expressed.

Zubby clarified that instead of contributing through religious organisations, he favours direct charitable acts to individuals requiring immediate assistance.

His remarks have sparked varied responses online, with some commending his generosity towards the less fortunate, while others argue that tithing should be exclusively conducted within the church framework.
