Rapper D-Cryme has revealed he is constantly focused on improving his music, explaining that he spends more time listening to his latest songs because he wants every new release to be better than the last.
Speaking during an interview on Joy Prime, the rapper was asked which of his own songs he enjoys listening to the most.
While acknowledging that songs such as It’s You remain popular with fans, D-Cryme said his attention is usually on his more recent work.
“One good thing is that I think I listen to most of them, especially songs like It’s You,” he said.
However, he explained that he prefers revisiting his newer songs as part of his creative process.
“I play more of what is already out because I want to perfect that,” he said.
According to the rapper, his goal is not to remain satisfied with past achievements but to continue raising his own standards.
“I always want to surpass what I have already done,” D-Cryme stated.
His comments reflect his approach to music production, where he aims to build on previous releases instead of relying only on songs that have already become favourites among listeners.
During the interview, the rapper also encouraged fans to join him later that day for his 40th birthday celebration at Cello’s Bar and Lounge in Osu.
