The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has appealed to the public to help trace the relatives of a 65-year-old woman identified as Aba Esi, who was found at Kaneshie with an injury to her left leg.
The woman was reportedly found loitering in the area on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and is currently receiving medical treatment as the Assembly works to identify her family.
The Head of the AMA’s Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, Felicia Amoakohene, said concerns about the woman’s welfare had prompted the appeal for public assistance.
She urged residents to share information about Aba Esi through social media platforms and community networks to increase the chances of reaching relatives or anyone who might know her.
The Assembly is calling on anyone with information about Aba Esi or her relatives to contact its Department of Social Welfare and Community Development.
Members of the public can reach the department on 024 185 6401 or 024 250 2497.
The AMA says public assistance could be crucial in identifying the woman’s family and helping her reconnect with them while she continues to receive care.
