New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has criticised President John Dramani Mahama of pampering illicit drug activities in Ghana.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Nana B said the government’s handling of recent drug-related cases raises serious concerns about its commitment to fighting narcotics trafficking.
He criticised what he described as a weak approach to the illicit drug trade, warning that Ghana could face serious consequences if decisive action is not taken.
According to Nana B, the government must take a firmer stance against individuals and networks involved in the trafficking of illegal drugs.
He also called for stronger enforcement and greater accountability in the fight against narcotics, particularly at Ghana’s borders and other entry points.
Nana B maintained that the scale of recent drug-related developments requires urgent attention from the government and security agencies.
He said the fight against illicit drugs should not be treated lightly, stressing the need for concrete action to protect Ghana and its citizens from the consequences of narcotics trafficking.
